Walking into a fertility clinic for the first time is often met with anxiety. Knowing what will happen during your first appointment helps replace apprehension with clarity and control.
Your first consultation at Srishti Fertility Hospital is unhurried. We dedicate sufficient time to review your medical history, menstrual chronology, previous surgical procedures, lifestyle factors, and any prior fertility investigations or cycles.
What documents should you bring? Bring any past blood test reports (especially AMH, thyroid, prolactin), ultrasound pelvic scans, semen analysis reports, previous hysterosalpingography (HSG) films, and discharge summaries from any prior surgeries or IVF cycles.
During this appointment, a gentle transvaginal ultrasound may be performed for the female partner to evaluate the uterine lining and count antral follicles. The doctor will explain all findings immediately on the screen.
Crucially, you leave the first appointment with a written diagnostic summary and a clear explanation of what investigations are needed next, rather than being pressured into any immediate commitments.
